Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Question 2000 Taurus Radio problem

Hi, I have a 2000 Taurus with a radio problem. The radio stopped working (just static) but the cassette still works fine. I bought a new radio and still have the same problem. I just bought a new antenna and still doesn't work. Any ideas? When I tune the radio it seems to register a signal but not enough to tune into any stations. Bad ground on the antenna? Bad antenna wire? HELP!!! Thx, John

the ford taurus radio is in the trunk left side behind the carpet, the unit at front is only a tape player remote control
you have to remove the side carpet and check the antenna cable here is a picture of the radio
