Ford TaurusAlong the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.
I have been having trouble with my o/d light flashing and some hard shifting when its hot outside.....90 degrees or better. my engine light is on and have picked up a couple transmission solenoids but for some reason the ones i was sold were different. but when my hubby got into the pan he discovered they all look alike. is there a way to tell which solenoid is bad? probably should change all 3 but my hicktown doesnt have them and it'll be next week til i can get them. any way to test them?
You'll need a transmission pressure gauge and a scope to find which one is bad.
