Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Default 2 problems with 99 ford taurus

1. The car alarm does not sound when you try to open the doors or hit the car? everthing else works like locking, and activating it(makes the sounds anyways).. I check the fuses, and there fine.

2. The ac only blows from the window defrost?

Thanks

AC coming through the defrost indicates a bad mode door motor or binding mode door. There are two doors: blend door varies how much heat you get. Mode door varies where the air comes out.
