Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

jbent Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 2	DOHC or not? I have a 96 Sable but it has a Taurus engine that was installed 3 years ago. I believe the Taurus engine was a 97 but I don't have any information on it at all other than it runs well. The Sable had a DOHC but I have no idea if this engine does or not. The top of this engine block does not say DOHC on it as it did on the Sable engine. Is there an easy way to tell for certain?
