Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Default Dash bulb replacement

Is there an easy way to replace a burned out dash board light? I have a 1998 model SE.

Thank you

Easy way? You're joking, right? Use a set of radio removal tools to pull the radio. Then, remove the four screws that hold the trim in place. Once that's out, remove the two screws above the instrument cluster. Then remove the screws holding the cluster bezel in place and pull out the entire bezel. Then, remove the 4 screws that hold the cluster in place. Disconnect the electrical connector and pull the cluster out. Replace the bulbs. Reverse the procedure.

Cuss out the Ford engineers who designed this.

Buy a Toyota next time.

P.S. I'm a current Ford owner. But not a future Ford owner.
