Ford Tempo The Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.

Default It was the TPS

yeah I'm an idiot it did turn out to be the TPS sensor. I got a new one and than the next day my power steering fluid was all over the ground. Well yesterday actually. I'm sick of trying to keep this car running so i'm getting a Pontiac grand am 2005. This car got me through a lot I just know that if I make another repair to it something else will go. I may try and sell it for parts the engine is in excellent condition very clean, or I may scrap it, haven't decided. But yes it was the TPS sensor btw in case that helps, you can by a new one pretty much anywhere, mine was $51, but it's a super easy install unless the screws are as rusted as mine. I hope you have better luck than I.

Sorry it looks like you were changing the wrong parts for a miss.
ITs good that all of those parts are new though

A miss is often repaired by swapping out the rotor, cap, and plugs. Followed next by locating and replacing a bad wire.

If in the dark you can see sparks jumping between any of your wires, they need to be changed. Don't stick you head under the hood with a running engine. Don't wear any loose clothing, long hair, or jewelry that can get caught.

Getting your truck scanned for diagnositc codes would be a good idea. Often done for free at autozone and other chain parts stores.

I am having problems also the car starts fine and then when warms up spits sputters and dies if I am just idaling. If I am driving the car it just seems to shut off. After sitting a few mins. it will start back up. I have replaced the control module, distributer cap, plugs, coil, and throtal position senser. I think my fan is not running so I am going to replace the senser on the thermostat housing, I ohmed out the fan motor it was good. I am at a loss now don't really know what to do next. since I replaced the tps it runs better but still stalls when idaling at operating temp. any sugestions?
