Ford Tempo The Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.

Exclamation Front tires

I recently replaced the lower contol arms on my 89 ford Tempo. After they were changed I threw a newer set of tires on the car. Now the outsides of the tires are feathering and hopping when I turn is there any adjustments
I can make to stop this from wrecking my tires ??????? Please help

you need an alignment, your toe adjustment is probably off, also i would check the camber. anytime you replace a steering/suspension part, it can cause ur alignment to go out causing alignment wear, such as wearing on the inside/outside, vehicle pulls, etc. i would also fully evaluate the steering/suspension for any other worn parts.

Yeah your tires are now shot.

Any time you replace any wore out suspension and steering part you really should get an alignment.

Thager,
I don't know how difficult a job it is for ball joints on a tempo, but on my full size bronco it would have been about $1200, (with an alignment) I did them myself for about $200, but still need the alignment.
You may want to look into saving for the cost of balljoints, because you will need the alignment after you replace them, and if they are shot you will have excessive tire wear of your new tires.
