Ford Tempo The Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.

Outers are easy. I never did inners but some of other Ford racks requires special tools to replace the inner/

You can get a rebuilt rack, which I am pretty certain includes inner tie rods for between $75 and $100. 2 inners could cost almost $50.

It all done on the left side ,it took about an hour total job.Very easy to do.Simple steps below .
1) jack up car on stands
2)remove wheel
3) undo inner and out bellows clamp
4) remove outer tie rod from knuckle, loosen jam nut ,count # of threads to remove outer
5)slide off bellows(boot)
6)use 1 3/16 crowfoot or inner tie rod socket
install is reverse of this and dont forget the new cotter in on the outer tie rod
7) take car to alignment shop.
