Ford TempoThe Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.
I have a 2.3L 92 tempo, 5-speed manual, and for some reason whenever it rains i get a leak that runs down to my passenger side floor. I've pulled the carpet up multiple times to suck the water out with a wet-dry vac and keep it from rusting or molding my carpet. I resealed the windshield and its still happening. Someone said it could be leaking around my heater box? Any suggestions?
Try cleaning out the cowl drain in the engine compartment. It may help but you will have to run water on it and try to see exactly where the water is coming in,the dash has to come out to reseal the the heater box.
alright ill try that. the water is leaking down the sidewall underneath the dash next to the door hinges. when we checked the leak with a hose after we resealed the windshield, we still have a steady stream of water coming in
