Ford Tempo The Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.

Cool 1993 Tempo Blower Motor

OK, I have a Chiltons for the Car. It makes it seem like once you take the screws out of the blowermotor you can just turn it and it comes out. WRONG! when you pull back on it, it hits the bar that runs under the glovebox. There is not enough cleareance to pull it out easily. After forcing it, hoping not to break the fan (I only got a motor replacment) it's out of the hole. However it's too big to just slide out of the botton and the width is too big to pull it through the glove box opening. I looked and could find anything that would allow me to remove the support that the glove box is hindged on. Has anyone actually done it on this model? Am I missing something right in front of me?

i have a similar problem:

i have a 1990 ford tempo, and i am attempting to replace the blower motor. i got the old one out, but broke the squirrel cage in the processes. i am now attempting to put the new one in, but i have no room to get it in through the glove box. i can get the motor in, but no with the squirrel cage attached. there is no room to put the squirrel cage on after i get the motor in. i tried putting the squirrel cage in first, then the motor, but then there was no room to get the clip on the motor to hold the squirrel cage on. i tried to drop the housing down to put it all on, but could not figure out how. i am completely lost.

well, that didn't help you much, but i thought it would be better to ask in here, rather than starting a whole new thread on essentially the same problem
