Ford Tempo The Ford Tempo is an American-built two-door coupe and four-door sedan produced by the Ford Company from 1984 to 1994. It was the successor to the Ford Fairmont, and was replaced in 1994 by the Ford Contour. The Tempo was part of a rejuvenation by Ford to offer more environmentally friendly, fuel efficient, and more modern styled models to compete with the imports.

Question Ford Tempo cooling seyetem
okay im new to this forum and trying to help out my grandfather. He has a 1994 ford tempo. his tenpo has a leek and its the part behind the water pump(sorry not much to go on) he's wondering what the name of the part is. Also he wants to know how the part behind the water pump is able to get damaged to make sure he doesn't get scammed. the water pump it self is also damaged.

The part is attached to the water pump it could be a gasket leak which comes with a new water pump it is super easy job to do on the 4 cyl. models about 2 hours total labour. If the neck to the pump is cracked or corroded swing by a wrecker and grab a new one.there is also a lower rad pipe that goes into the pump noted to leak at the o ring alos enclosed in the new pump kit.
