Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

U might as well start looking on Ebay and Craigslist.com That is the LED lighting on the rear lamp, only a replacement will fit that problem. =o(

I don't think they are LEDs, I think you have a single element bulb in a dual filaments place.

Well I did some digging tonight, I didn't pull the tail lights out, but I think Tbird is right and that LEDs are used, the small brake lamps in the corners are 3157s though.

Yeap. I priced ALOT of those tail lamps out when I worked at a Ford dealership. Yet I only remember selling 1 in the 5 years I worked there.... Hmmm. LOL!!!

Yeah, and some calling around says those parts are obsolete now...Ford don't even carry them. So, either I luck into finding one at a salvage yard, or I may get adventurous and try to open the tail light assembly with a Dremel tool (cutting the backside off) so I can maybe put my own lights in there...we'll see!

Try to google Vintage Parts LLC they are up in Beaver Dam, MI. If u have a Ford PN# (from the dealership), u can call them @ 1-877-846-8243 with the PN# and they will tell u then if they have it or not. Vintage Parts buys out stock from old dealerships closing down, and they have saved me a few times in the past. Good luck & keep us posted....
