The turn signal lever on my father's 1994 Thunderbird will not stay in place when he uses it. What should he and I be aware of as we get into the steering column to fix it? My main concern is the airbag, does simply disconnecting the battery make it safe to pull the steering wheel? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
