Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Default T Bird LX Engine problems

Here's the scoop...I also have a 95 T bird LX with a 4.6 interceptor (police car) motor. It lost power and started running real rough. My brother in law helped me check compression and it all seemed to be ok. But the dumbass cross threaded one spark plug and another one the ark was bent all the way down to the plug but I did not know this until I got the car home and changed the plugs. Changing the plugs did improve it some but it is still running a bit rough and I am affraid the one piston where the plug was bent is damaged. Is there anyway to check this for sure without pulling the heads? I am afraid to even start the car so not to do anymore damage to the motor just in case. A local mechanic is wanting over $1,300 just to redo the heads. Any ideas?
