Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Angry 96 bird sick 2 her tranny

96/4.6 been sitting for 2 months due to tranny leak. first man that tried to fix her went thru 3 gaskets, red & blue tubes sealant, small bottle gorilla snot & about 22 quarts fluids. second man went thru 2 tubes black sealant, 2 gaskets, & roughly 7 quarts fluid. third man didn't bother with gasket, 1 tube black sealant & 5 quarts merc v fluid. as of today, they are on notice to stay away from ethyl!! there will be another rubber pan gasket available tomorrow, along with 5 more quarts fluid. there will be NO sealant & NO careless jerks (hubby included!). my concern is should i change out/replace any seals or anything else before i place the clean, straightened out pan back on? the pan was extremely overtorqued the first time. i am replacing couple of bolts that have 'chewed' head. am considering replacing the pan if i can find one quick enough. only tranny experience i have is replacing gasket & filter; i've drove fords for 25 years--i ain't skeered! would appreciate any suggestions or heads up. i can't find anything about this in my motor's manual (ok, ok, i haven't looked yet).
