Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Question Problems with Powerseats

My 1988 Thunderbird has a power driver's seat, but the motor is burnt out. The fuses are fine. Largely this wouldn't matter except I'm short and can't reach the pedals. I just need to be able to adjust the seat so I can reach. I don't care if the seat never moves again after that point. Does anyone know how to do this? We've already removed the seat from the tract so we can see everything, but nothing moves. There is no seat release. And the conections all look fine. Any suggestions?

You might be able to remove the motor , adjust the seat track to where you want it and re-install the motor to lock it in place. good luck

Try tapping on the side of the motor with the brushes and see if it will run. Usually this will buy you a little time.
