Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Unhappy my 94 thunderbird wont crank or even jumpstart, what do i do?

Yesterday i went out and discovered my car wouldn't start, i jumped it and i figured everything was o.k. Today, it wouldn't start again, except this time when i tried to jump it, nothing happened. the radio still works and the dome light and all the other stuff like windows, but when i try to turn it over, there's nothing... i'm strapped for cash and i dont even know where to start, any suggestions or any advice would be most appreciated, thank you.

When you say... "there's nothing" I suspect that you mean that the starter relay does not even click.

How old is your battery... are the teminals and connections clean?
Do your headlights shine brightly?

See if it will start in nuetral, with the shift lever in slightly different places within neutral It may be a faulty nuetral safety switch, or a missalignment of the shift position sensor or linkage.

Write back with answers and more questions. And let us know how you make out.

My '96 does that half the time, nothing in park but the blower fan starts, but if I put it in neutral with the shifter a little off center it'll start.

bccolum,
Your shift lever position sensor is out of adjustment (or it needs to be replaced if it can't be adjusted), or the linkage is loose.
