Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Default 1989 Ford Thunderbird SC electrical problem

Hi guys, I'm new here. Okay, I recently bought 1989 Ford Thunderbird SuperCoupe. Awesome car... but Temperature and Oil pressure gauges on dash do not work... I am thinking of bypassing them and install aftermarket gauges, but if this is a common problem and easy to deal with, then I'd like to fix the original gauges(or connections?). Have anyone dealt with this problem before? It would be nice to know or hear advice...

Thanks

Check your senders.

If you have someone watch the gauges as you momentarily ground out the wire for the senders you should see the gauges spike immediately when you make the short. Only do this momentarily.
