Ford ThunderBirdFord thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.
3 YEARS ago, I met a guy who works on tbirds and cougars. He talked me into paying him to (RE?)build from the ground up a 1993 thunderbird with a 331 stroker engine.
At the time I was dating the guy, but his life philosphy is WAY different.
So now we are just friends.
It was to be a gift for my teenage son.
I have about 6k into the car already and will pay another 1k for the stroker kit.
SO.............will I be able to get my money out of it?
My son instead bought a 96 impala ss b/c he wasn't waiting anymore.
