Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

Default '94 t-bird 4r70w transmission

I've been having some problems with the transmission seemingly going into neutral while driving, what it does is the engine revs as if it was in neutral - if I let off the gas it resumes correct operation. No rhyme or reason to it, can't duplicate it. My question is can a "repaired" ECM be the cause? I had to have it repaired due to a starting problem and it sems all this started when I did this. I changed the fluid and filter, no metal in the pan, actually fairly clean, some sludge. I'm thinking the torque converter or a bad program? If it is the program can Ford reprogram it? 4.6 , 100,000 miles. Thanks for your help.
