Ford ThunderBird Ford thought they'd take their own stab at the nostalgia business. There are quite a few last-century icons that wear the blue oval. For a revival subject, why not use a car famous enough to have been the subject of Beach Boys songs, starred in George Lucas movies, and has been gone long enough to be missed? Why not indeed. In 2002, the Thunderbird was reborn.

bbk throttlebody (if ur gonna do one do them both, u'll like the gains in both power and mpg emensely!)

as for intake manifold, the only one on the market i have seen is to upgrade to the 99+ sohc stock intake (i've personally worked on two cars making well over 500 rwhp still using this intake without any issues, both supercharged vehicles) thing is if you switch that you gotta get a set of 99+ heads. ill have to do some more research and ask some of my vendors what they might have, but as far as i know this is the only upgrade, and honestly unless your planning to do more mods like aftermarket cams, stroker kit, stuff like that, its not worth the money. only reason i did it is i have the car apart and the mod bug bit me damn hard.

id go with the first two and make a custom cold air intake with a k&n filter element on the end attatched directly to the mass air meter.

the key to the custom air intake is to have as few bends as possible and get that maf as close to the filter as possible. the difference between our 4.6's and the ones on the mustangs is the placement of the upper plenum is turned towards the passenger side on the gts. ours is straight ahead, so the bends are slightly different. there is however ample room under the hood to custom fit an intake.

i haven't done much research on it yet as im kinda entrenched in the grinding of some custom cams to work with the stock tune as of right now. ill do some research on google to see what i can find, i suggest you do the same. i do believe there is a guy who made a custom air intake that he sells for a decent price, check ebay too there might be some on there.
