Ford Torino Most Torinos were conventional cars, and generally the most popular models were the 4-door sedans and 4-door hardtops. However, Ford produced some high performance versions of the Torino by fitting them with large powerful engines, such as the 428 CID and 429 CID "Cobra-Jet" engines. These cars are classified as muscle cars.

Default 1971 Torino 500 - Steering Question

Hi All,

Brand new to owning a classic car, well it's been a decade since I owned a Camaro for about 2 months, got this one on the cheap from a lady in town. Anyway, had the car looked at today and it needs a new power steering ram and valve. Now I've been reading about the manual steering conversion kits and was wondering if this is an easy (and i do mean easy) install and what are the negatives to putting manual steering on this car aside from the pain in the ass parallel parking.

Thanks all!
