Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

That is an all in one pipe you will need, Walker lists it as 52087.

Why would you cut that pipe in the first place?

I would just buy the complete new pipe and a gasket and be done with it since you said it is all rusted to shit anyway!

No funny signatures today, thinking of some better quotes so people dont think they are directed to them when I post.

Thats the problem mark. I'd have to replace the whole thing. Every single piece is rusted. I can't get anything off. I can't afford to shell out 300-400 bucks right now. So I need a quick fix. It is my only car right now and I haven't driven it in months cuz of the engine rebuild/swap. I was rebuilding it and came across a good deal on a 03 engine with 40k on it for 250 so I had to go with it.

measure your pipe (by the green circles) next to the welded joints. I'm pretty sure it is a 2.5 inch pipe, i recommend you measure for yourself, and good luck.

yes it's 2.5. so do i need a lil bit bigger than 2.5 to fit a flex piece over it"? and will this pass inspection because it's a pointless endeavor if it won't.

as long as the job looks clean, (use proper muffler clamps and cut the flex pipe nicely), and there are no leaks you should be fine.

What state are you in by the way?

massachusetts. the pipe i'm fitting the flex over is 2.5". So if the pipe says inlet outlet is 2.5" that means it will slip over the 2.5" pipe??

If the inside diameter of the flex tube measures 2.5" it should fit over the existing exhaust.

Thanks again for all the help guys. My buddy actually has a pipe expander (dunno if thats what it is called) so you can expand a pipe to fit over another one. I just wanted to make sure everything went together good this if my first time doing an overhaul on a vehicle and me and my fiance just had our son and I want to make sure the vehicle is very safe for my family.

Also when you install the clamps make sure the nuts are to the side and not pointing down. Why? Because the threads can catch on things you might drive over.
