Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default 98 Windstar 3.8L Questions

Anyone know if there is any stock ford manual transmission that will bolt up to the 3.8L Engine in the 98 Ford Windstar?

And I know the ford Thunderbird Supercoupe had a 3.8L engine with a factory intercooled supercharger, Would that supercharger bolt onto the 3.8L enigne in a 98 Ford Windstar? Or would the heads and intake manifold from the thunderbird bolt onto the block in the 98 windstar?

I belive the supercharger will swap will work on a Taurus and possibly on a windstar. Also the 3.8 used in the Tthunderbird's (and possibly countless front wheel drive cars) used the small block ford bellhousing and RWD manual transmissions are galore for these motors.
