Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Mark the axle shaft seals are under the boots right? Is there one where that drive axle slide out?

Axle shaft seal is here on the transmission, 1 for each side.

For the Torque converter seal you will have to call or ask an expert.

Well I have the seals and I received my Ford TSO 2000-2004 repair manual for all for vehicles in those years. It recommends to use these special rotunda tools to remove and install the drive axle and torque converter seals. Do I need these? Or should I be fine?

Nope but I do know to never let the Torque Converter separate from the Transmission or you will be doing exactly what YOU are doing now.

I got this seal puller it looks like two hooks attached to a handle. Do you guys use something similar when pulling the tranny seal? Ford has all these special tools. I'm guessing I don't need to use them?

that is the tranny seal. I got a new one in my hand it looks just like that. It isn't on the torque converter it's on the tranny itself and it's a bitch to get out. I don't want to mar the surface.

I never replaced the tranny seal, but I do know when you remove any axle or driveshaft you need to replace the seals.
