Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Aligning torque converter/flexplate

Ok this is what my official Ford manual says....NOTE: Locate and align the orange dot adjacent to the stud on the torque converter with the orange dot on the flexplate.....

Ok I have a new torque converter and a new flex plate how do I do this step? Is this just to make sure it goes back how it was if I was using the original setup from the factory?

The flexplate probably only bolts on in 1 way. Make a note of where the mark was on your old flexplate, the mark that spot on your new flex plate, using the two closer (or further) offset bolt holes on the flexplate to base this mark off of.

Try do find a similar marking or attribute on your converters to base the new mark off of.
