Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
Hello, I am new here and need help. My girlfriend has a 96 with a 3.8. it runs extremely rich to the point you can smell it when it is running and there is a black mark on the body at the exhaust outlet. when she bought it it had a bad o2 sensor and I replaced it... no more codes but it still continues to run rich... I have changed plugs and wires and the air filter and oil, the van has140,xxx miles and it all needed changed... I have had it scoped and there are no current codes. where do I start? Injectors? any help would be great...
...armour-all to get rid of the black spot... yeah I know that is the smallest of problems but hey, appearance is everything.
yeah, check IMRC valves, MAF (did it), and o2 sensors, follow phantom_smack and mark v.... spark plugs too, just incase they are fouled (never know)
Please write back!
