well, its not the TPS sensor. i checked a friends.. his too is 18% or so absolute throttle position. question.... could it be the torque converter???
because when i drive and coast, say, at 40mph, and if i let go of gas, the rpms often stay up instead of dropping down to under 1000, as if the flywheel is keeping the van going. remember, that i only have this surge problem when the engine is cold... the moment i put it in drive, it starts to go itself and appears to slowly accelerate. i also checked the fuel trims.. theyre fine.
