waterpump issue on '95

Okay, so my water pump needed to be replaced in my V6 '95 windstar.
I was able to do it without an engine lift. lolz. I'm sooo good. :-D

So, I got it replaced. However, I ran into two issues.
1 - one out of the four bolts that holds the pulley onto the water pump is missing. sortof fell into the engine area when I first started. looked for an hour and couldn't find it anywhere. so RAWR! Can I just leave the three on there for now? I might just get a hose and just clean the engine out and hope the piece falls from where ever it is at.

2 - THE BIG problem. Their is a pipe that is held into the waterpump by a washer. anyway, this pipe is like completely gone. meaning. I don't think I should reuse it do to it being sooooo rusted out. What is this pipe called and how do I replace it or should I even attempt to replace it? I have looked everywhere and no one has it. Would anyone on this forum have any idea where I can buy a new one at? When I do repairs, I do it right the first time and don't play games.

I used to work for an autoparts store, that pipe should've came with the new pump, and if that pipe isn't in thier "HELP" section, which I dont think it is, it is "dealer only", just take it up there and show'em, they'll know what it is... I believe it's some kinda heater return line anyways it's not repairable... For the bolt just take out one of the old ones and match it up at the store... Never leave a bolt missing especially water pump pulley or even mounting bolts... Forget the one you dropped.

Any idea on the cost of the pipe? I bought a brand new water pump. Kindof beeps that it might of should have been in there and it isn't. But, I bought it from autozone. so you know them. I was just wanting to get rid of this thing once and for all.

That line shouldn't be much more than $20. Where exactally is it rusted at? Is it those press in types with the o-ring deal or is it thread on? You could just cut off what would leak and install an oversized rubber heater hose in place of the bad section with 2 clamps on each end... Or if all else fails JB Weld it, you're gettin rid of it anyways and so forget the pulley bolt lol.

It's the freaking O-Ring types. lolz. I WISH it was the thread type. lolz. I'm thinking it will hold, but I can't take the chance on a repair on this job. **not my van** I personally drive an Altima. :-D About to buy myself a nice exhaust system.

bypass tube, bent mine. sucks. pretty expensive believe it or not.

hopefully that bolt isn't in the pump...

bring one of the remaining bolts to a store and get a new one, match pitch and size!
