Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Question What if?

I read awhile back where a woman had to call 911 because she had a dead battery and was locked inside her car and couldn't open the doors. Her rescuer simply told her to use the manual unlock lever located near the door handle. After a chuckle on my part at her stupidity, I later checked to see where the manual unlock device was on my 2000 Windstar in case it ever happened to me. Oops, I can't find one! What do you do besides carry something with you to break the window glass?
