A few days ago I had posted that my RSS light turns to off while in reverse, and cannot be turned back on until I put the van in drive. Yesterday, while driving, my ABS, Trac active, battery, seatbelt lights came on. Then everything stopped working from the blinkers, lights, radio, A/C, speedometer, windows, locks. Everything. I immediately took the van (barely made it) to the garage. They think it's the alternator (which I already replaced 2 summers ago). I also just replaced the battery (twice in the 4 years I've owned it). There are 86,000 miles and 1 year to go on the loan. Any help out there?

Unless you let the battery run down dead a few times, or unless it has been overcharged, there is no reason to replace it in less than about 5 years.

Rebuilt alternators are sometimes not built to the same standards as new, and have much shorter life.

Finding a scrupulous mechanic who really understands electrics and electronics is difficult, if not near impossible.
