Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
OK so I need a little help while I'm trying to replace the rack and pinion assembly in our Windstar. I have the old one out of the van and I purchased the new one. On the new one it has a warning label that cautions the installer to make sure the high pressure power steering line is connected to the correct fitting on the rack assembly. I did not mark the hoses when we removed them from the original and I'm not sure how to tell which is which now as they both have the same size fittings. There was a smal sensor or connector on one of the hoses (I think the top fitting... farthest away from the ground). Is this the high pressure line? Can someone help me so I don't hook these up incorrectly? Thanks!
