Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
There has been much discussion about the inferior paint on some Ford vehicles including my own 1998 Windstar. Paint had peeled prematurely and continues to flake and peel. More individulas having this problem need to take a stance becausae this IS a Ford paint manufacturing error and they need to be accountable for this. Many of us paid significant $$ to purchase these vehicles and the paint is coming off not due to age, environment or lack of care, but rather a manufacturer defect.
