Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
I am in the process of working on my front calipers and was wondering if anybody can clarify the following:
The banjo block has a banjo bolt that goes in it with two
copper crush seals around the banjo block. Two questions:
1) Does the hole in the banjo bolt have to align with the hole in the block? If so, then what is the best method to align those two holes?
2) I tried re-using copper crush washers (gaskets), however found that they would leak. Is it because the holes (question 1) are not aligned or I need brand new copper crush gaskets?
I thank you in advance for any advice you may give me re: this.
