Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default 2002 Windstar SEL Message Center

Help Please. I have asked questions about my message center in the instrument cluster. I was told to remove the instrument cluster to replace bulbs in back of unit. I have the Haynes Windstar Repair Manual 1999 -2003.

The book also tells of how to replace bulbs in back of instrument cluster -- However, after I removed the inst. cluster -- I find in back it is all solid state computer boards. The message center looks to be digital. I can hardly see the words and numbers. I thought and was told that one of the bulbs have burned out.----- No bulbs to be found. A lot of work to remove the whole dash to get the cluster out. The mileage on the left side of the cluster is bright and clear, easy to read. Is there an adjustment on the back of the cluster to make the message center brighter?

Anyone out there that can assist me?

Thanks,
Golfdoctor3
