Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Angry 2000 Winstar heating problems

Hi, I have a 2000 Winstar Sel, The heater and A/C has been working just fine untill today, now the A/C works fine the fan runs as it should but when turn off the A/C and slide the control to heat all I get is outside air and no heat.
Does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

Do you hear a clicking sound from behind the console? This happened to our van - there is a motor & gearbox that drive the blend door. (controls outside air & heated air mix) The gear will strip & then all you get is cold air. (and the clicking noise as the motor tries to move the door)

From your description, it seems you most likely have a clogged/leaky front heater core. Do you get heat in the rear?

This is exactly what is happening to us. What parts in this set up need to be replaced?
