Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Question Sliding door roller- plastic cover replacement?? (2002 Windstar)

Does anyone know if Ford sells the plastic cover that encases the metal roller on the bottom of the passenger side slider door? I would think I am not the only one that has found that after years of kids going in and out that that little plastic cover on the bottom roller has been worn out and actually fallen off.

I am hopeful that someone else has experienced this problem and can tell me the part number OR if I have to buy an entire new roller assembly (which would stink since all I need is the plastic cover for the roller). Obviously having metal roll on metal is not the best.................

will a small piece of hose (solid/durable/pvc) fit on the end instead, if the wreckers or Ford have nothing available? failing that, ask your dealer....
