Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default How much freon in the a/c system?

Hello everybody,

Does anybody know how much freon there goes in the a/c system?
Today I went to the garage and they didn't know. I called almost every Ford-dealer and they all came with different answers. One told me 1660, the other 1400 and another 1700. Even Ford's Headoffice in The Netherlands didn't know it. Finally the garage refilled it with 1400, but because it is a little bit cold overhere right now, I couldn't notice if the cold air was from the airco or the outside (btw 1600=1,6 kilograms, 1400=1,4 kilograms etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Harry

Just got a phonecall from the Ford-dealer in Zwolle, The Netherlands at 21.36 hours local time. He told me that it had to be 1590=1,59kg

Thank you for your reply. You were right.
