Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Question 2003 Windstar Rear A/C blowing hot air while front works great!

I have a 2003 Windstar that has an A/C issue. The front climate control works fine. the rear heat works great from the floor vents, but the a/c blows warm air thru the upper vents. not sure what it is? or how much it will cost to repair? Any ideas?

Might have a blend door or expansion valve problem. What is your mechanical ability so we can get you pointed in the right direction.

This happened to me the other day.

It turned out that both the small (pollen) filter in the rear A/C pipe and the expansion valve were clogged. Temporarily, I had my mechanic clean both of them with a solvent and that gave me the cold air back. But I plan on replacing both of these parts.

Check this out, I found a leaky switch on my 98 and it fixed all kinds of weird problems I was having with the temp control. This Bronco Joe is a Guru for me.

KingOfFixin,
Thanks for the kind words

I'm glad to see that you swapped out your switch and everything is working fine.
Dual air, and dual heat, when they are working properly, are really awesome!
