Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Electric problems

I have 99 windstar and the fuse in spot 10 inside keeps blowing. It kills the odometer, speed gauge, and the ABS light comes on. Also the engine light stays on. Can anyone help me thanks.

I've been having the same problem with my 2000 windstar, from what I've been able to tell the check engine light and the abs light are most likely two different sets of problems. Not much help I'm sure but I'm waiting for some info as to what I need to be checking for. If you solve the problem before I do let me know.

Same problem. On mine it has only happened to date while I am starting the van. Seems like the starter while drawing current may impact other things e.g. one of the items on this fuse (odometer, ABS and AC). I suggest "check engine "is a different problem although mine did just come on which was about 3 weeks after problem surfaced. Any info appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. Did you find the solution?

Try looking at the brake pressure switch located at the bottom of of the brake reservior. This is a common issue with Fuse 10 issues. I recently replaced one and have had no problems for the last 500 miles
