Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

I had this problem too. you have to purchase the cd player from ford... I just went and purchase me a cd player from best buy and the cd kit for it... It work fine. Note to self: If you are going to install the cd player yourself make sure to get the right wire kit for it and also disconnect the negative cable battery before unpluging your old cd player or you will end up buy a lot of new fuses.

You will need to purchase a GS-6 changer and a xu3f-14588-da harness. United radio has those for $225 and $36.

If you have the cd changer it is usually located under the front passengers seat.

it could be that the van had a CD changer and the previous owner took it out of the van
