Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
well it started my 2000 windstar was stalling out i fixed the iac valve got a new one it didnt fix anything there is a bunch of codes on but theres a mix of a couple thing i have to drive with my feet on the gas n brake cuz im scared its going to shut off, when i do it blows black smoke out the back it idles below 1 and wants to shut off, i got a new fuel filter that didnt fix it there isnt any vacum leaks that i know of someone said it might be maf sensor he said it was fine to drive that if it does stall and wont start back up to just disconnect the wires that go into the maf sensor or disconnect that. can anyone help and tell me if that sounds like whats wrong or if you had the same problem. thanks oh yeah and it kinda smells like oil when im stopped or gas some weird smell but its NOT a sulfar smell... i dont think any way... its such a big problem but so hard to explain im just tired of buying stuff for it thats not fixing it....
