Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Took off the cowling exposed the mechanism. After fooling with it several times I decided to just pull it out.
Not sure what I am looking at but seems the (these words are for want of better words) rocker that's pulled by the hatch handle is no longer able to transfer the energy to the long rocker on the back side that actuates the pull on the cables.
I am guessing there is a pin or a tab inside that is snapped off.
Is this correct? Is there a way to repair it or do I need to buy a new one?
What’s it called?
Thanks Redline
After my stint as a body shop assembler, I personally have never had any luck with any attempts to repair door latches. They never seem to accept a repair. In the long run it may be fastest to to hit the junk yard.
If you have a "you pull it " lot close by they seem to provide a lot of resources.
Thanks, I was looking at it wrong. It was in the lock position.
I don't know what I did but it started working. I think it will last
cause nothing was worn or missing as far as I can tell. Thx Jan
