Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
so a while ago i had some hard shifting and o/d light flashig issues and it was fixed...(aparentally) by a new filter and fluid flush plus i added a bottle of lucas tranny goo. any way
when im going about my normal driving on the highway the van works good
but when im slowing down to take a tight turn at lets say 25-30 km/h and and i have the wheel turned far to the right then i get a HARD 2nd-to-1st gear downshift. what could this be????
cv? steering rack? or the tranny <cringe>
i seem to notice it when i roll through a stopsign or pull into my driveway mostly
2000 3.8 no codes 155000 km
