This is my very first post. I've always been a Ford guy, as are most of my family members. My daughter owns a '06 Windstar and my grandson and I just did the front brakes because the ABS light was on and knowing the pads were almost shot. Well, after doing the job, the light is still on. Every time we clear the code, it comes right back on. All the sensors seem OK. We did the rear brakes a couple of months ago and had the same problem except we found a bad sensor, replaced it and no more light. I'm sort of baffled by this new problem. Any suggestions on where to start? My daughter is afraid of driving it as it is even though the brakes work just fine.

I'm not about letting her drive my '95 4.6 Thunderbird!

You need to take it somewhere were they have the proper diagnostic equipment to read the error code. Worn pads have little to do with ABS.

Yep doing a brake job will not fix an ABS issue. ABS is a complete separate system. Get your system checked like theoldwizard said.
