Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
Hey everyone! Looks like I've narrowed down my search to a 1998 Windstar cargo van 3.0 V6. My father gave me a set of 16" steel wheels with winter tires from his 2001 Taurus he just sold (which I want to bolt onto my new Windstar). The tires are 215/60R16 which seems to be close enough to the stock size. The van currently has 15" steel wheels.
Also, I would like to get a set of 16" aluminum wheels from a parted out 2001 Taurus. I've heard that Taurus and Windstar wheels are interchangeable - hoping that the 2001 Taurus 16" steel and aluminum wheels are included in this.
I don't have the van in my possession yet to test it (it's being shipped and will arrive in a week or two). So, I can't test-fit the wheels yet, but has anyone else tried this? Thanks!
