Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Danny,
I can't believe that it is two weeks later and that you have not searched Rockauto.com, or autozone.com for the part. What are you waiting for?

By doing that little search you will find out how much it will cost, and if it is after market available.

If it is not listed in either of those two places, call your local NAPA parts store, and ask.

When you find out, please fill in this thread with the info so that others can benefit from your efforts.
Thanks

I'm glad that you are having it taken care of right away, with you away from home so much, it could be quite distressing to the little lady to have a "no Start" scenario due to a faulty transmission range sensor.

Since you seem to have internet access while on the rig, you might look into using voice over IP technology so that you can "phone home" over the internet.

Check into Skype – Make free calls and great value calls on the internet

Dannymurphy,
I know there are places that have very limited access to the internet. Some even make you pay the exorbitant prices charged by INMARSAT, or whoever provides the satellite phone service for the 64kb or if you are lucky the 128kb internet speed. I have been in your situation prior to internet, in a strange country paying $12 a min for phone and the little lady has a bum car with no relatives within 1500 miles to turn to. Anyway, the people on this site would be more then willing to go the extra mile to answer your questions we just expect you to do some of the leg work yourself. If you are unable to do this let us know your situation and you would get more help then you could use.
