Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
Any body got some wiring diagrams of the power windows in my 96 Windstar??
Neither one of the windows has power to the switch.
Also while trying to figure this out---I think I may have toasted the ABS box because now the ABS and the BRAKE lights will not go off on the dash.
(these were fine this morning)
One window motor has died----and some time ago, when the passenger window quit working, I was getting 12vdc to the both of the switches.
Since then (about a month) the driver window went south as well.
Now, I have no voltage to any of the switches (window), the fuses are good, and the relay under the dash marked for the window does not have a live wire in it----key on or off.
The driver side motor is fine----passenger side is dead (have new motor/regulator).
Just cannot figure out why there is no power to the switches.
A schematic would be great for helping me locate the open or burned wires in the harness.
Anyone have one, or know where I can get one pretty quick??
Okay
Got a schematic
Now the question is:
Where is the "Solid State, Generic Electronic Module"????
Can't seem to locate this thingy----and it may be part of the problem.
