Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default power steering pump

I have read several of the other threads about PS on the WS. I replaced my pump and the belt tensioner assembly and a new belt. I have to say that at first I thought it would be a hard job replacing these parts but after reading some tips here I thought it was fairly simple.

The one question I have is, do I have to bleed the power steering system? I have read things about bleeding the system but I am not sure what is the return line for the PS. I also read something about a tool that you can purchase to vacuum out the lines.

Any help would be appreciated, oh I forgot to mention that the rack and pinion was replaced around 6000 miles back.
