Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Windstar 2000 SE - Lights On

I press the remote control to open one of the side doors, after that I get into the car put the keys but the car didn't start but the lights were on and I couldn't turn it off. I left my car in a parking lot with the battery disconnected so the lights turned off. It could be the remote control? please help me.

If it is just the lights staying on check the door switches. Faulty door switches are common problems on all fords. If the car did not start I am not sure what that problem is. Could be anything. Check to make sure the battery is charged and that the starter is getting power from the battery. If the battery is good and there is no power going to the starter solenoid then something in the ignition switch circuit is preventing the starter solenoid from engaging.
